I couldn't wait to read this book after the cliffhanger in the first book. The storyline had me wanting more. I thought for sure I was going to get a great conclusion to what was a start of a good story...

Unfortunately, I didn't get that. While I can admit this author has a good way of writing in general (hence the rating versus the rest of this review), I just can't jive with this book.

First, how much drama can one person take while reading a book? This book was more of nothing truly significant happening than anything. Sure, a few secrets and puzzle pieces were at play. However, most of the book droned on with unnecessary drama. I will admit, I lost a lot of interest in this story with this book.

In the first book, I liked the characters. In this book, I am now finding myself annoyed with them. Their arrogance, where it was once redeeming, is now exasperating and grating. In the author's quest to create a twisty story she seems to have lost sight of it.

A third book? I have to read another book? Is the next one just going to be a bunch of filler with a few plot points dropped in too? I am not sure I can read another after this one. This story could have been nicely written in two books. If you take out the filler, then you would be able to complete the story in two installments. I will most likely read the third book. However, if this series doesn't end there, I won't continue it.

So many times I wanted to dnf this book more realistic stuff happens in Avengers then here.
Author seems to forget among with no normal adult that they're teenagers. Raven is the definition of “not like other girls” and hypocrite. Every other girls in book is jealous,petty.. that is when they show up because there is barely any girls in this series also every guy is in love with Raven.
Maddoc, annoyed me a lot in first book but now I hate him.Royce and Captain don't even have LI they're there to "brother" to Maddoc and that it.
I enjoyed some of their scenes without Maddoc but next book is again Maddoc and Raven.
Not my cup of tea and I don't see my self continuing this series.

Took me a while to finish because I got a puppy but wow. Is it the best thing ever written? no. Best thing I’ve read? no. But is is full of drama, romance, and plot twists? Yes and it makes it all worth it. I can’t wait to finish the series. I will always appreciate how bad ass Raerae is
