Honestly, I'm just frustrated with the female lead. She's more of a bimbo than the male lead is a himbo, surprisingly enough. Rone has more brains than her. She gets somewhat smarter at the end? But even until 3/4th mark, I was still questioning her thinking.

SpoilerWhining when they just left her at first, whining when she's forced to get the berries at their first meeting like she's entitled to something. She wanted to earn her keep but she didn't want to do it??? Yes you're tired but like, how else are you going to prove to them you're useful???

Then the whole thing with the OW flirting with Rone. She noted that he was expecting something, but she couldn't get the hint that she was supposed to come over there and fight for him? She knows that women are supposed to make the first move. Goddamn it. Lady.

And adopting a wild deer? Seriously? Yes, it's a baby. But it's wild! Nurse it for a couple of days and let it go damn it.

And lastly, how can I forget about the author's repetitive and unnecessary use of the word "evidently".

Things I liked:
  • This is such a unique story and it’s sent me on a search for something like it to give me the same feeling.
  • It’s so interesting to see how the dynamic works in a romantic relationship without language. Watching them grow to understand each other and love each other was really beautiful.
Things I didn’t like:
  • Nothing!

THIS BOOK IS SO SWEET! LENNA and RONE ARE SO SICKLY SWEET WITH EACH OTHER. Overall so wholesome and I enjoyed it immensely. The way they cared for and loved each other made me so happy.
