Just too sad for me, I'm afraid. Maybe it’s because I’m so used to the Disney version, but I found Peter less charming and a bit of a brat. Either way, I liked the more positive note the movie ended on. I did however enjoy the unusual narration style.

“Peter Pan” is a classic, it’s undeniable. It’s the quintessential tale of childhood whimsy and imagination, which contrasts nicely against the underlying theme of the inevitability growing up.

It is important to note that Barrie’s book is from a very different time and thus feature outdated views and language.

Whimsical and adventurous. The racism and references to corporal punishment were jarring though. Otherwise, so relaxing and comforting to fall asleep to or during sick days. Lily Collins is a wonderful narrator. She's warm, playful and seamlessly gets into each different characters voice.

I read this with my daughter. I loved watching the way it captured her imagination. The narrator of the book is whimsical and has many asides, which made it entertaining to read as an adult.

I felt I had to edit and censor a lot of the racial slurs and negative stereotypes, and also the violence. 110 years sure changes what's acceptable and unacceptable, especially for a children's book.

A fae stalks several generations of a family, kidnapping their children from their beds at night and taking them to Neverland.
