This book was recommended to me by a friend who read it and I finally did!

I really enjoyed this book and the stories within it. I wish we would have gotten more of Taryn's POV and hearing her tell her daughter the story of how the scarf helped save her life when the Tower fell. I have to say I teared up multiple times reading her POV and hoping more than anything that there would be a happier ending for her and her daughter. I was happy that she was able to re-connect with the florist who helped her and sent messages to her husband. I was in tears when she FINALLY found out that he knew she was pregnant before passing. "Tell her, be happy"

I enjoyed Clara's POV and how she dealt with her trauma from the fire. The only thing that I was not a fan of during her POV was how many times she fell in love. It appeared that any man who showed her any amount of attention - she thought was falling in love with her and she made these fantasies up in her head about them. I am glad that in the end, she was able to find true love and settle down.

Over all I thought this was a great book. I listened to the audiobook and even thought it was only one narrator - it was very clear which character's POV was being read from.

HF alternating with current with the presence of a scarf collecting the two times. She describes a scene so well you can see it in your mind without using too many words. I love the way she put words together.
I loved the narration but I did have to pay attention to keep up with the time we were in.

Jane, my mom, and my grandma all convinced me to read this. I thought some parts were unrealistic, but it was very uplifting and I loved the end!

A very sweet story, if a bit overdone. I thoroughly enjoyed the parallels and appreciated the authors ability to use two events to paint one story, but the character development was not done with nearly enough depth to really, truly care about them. I felt as if I was dropped into the middle of their story, which is not the end of the world, but I never felt I had enough background on any of them to truly care what happened to them. And, without spoiling, Dr Randall was just far too much. The twist at the end of Taryn’s story was predictable, but very sweet and I thought gave her a good ending. I did not feel the same level of closure for Clara’s. Overall, a good (quick!) read. Excellent for a summer beach read.
