It's funny that Fable has three books till now and I gave each of them 3.5 stars. It's not the best book series out there, but they were all very enjoyable, nevertheless!

This is a no-brainer if you are a fan of Adrienne Young's Fable duology. The Last Legacy brings us back to that world in Bastian where Bryn Roth is summoned on her 18th birthday by her uncle Henrick. Surrounded by her eccentric family, doesn't take long for Bryn to realize that the Roths are fully intwined with dirty business, plots, intrigue, and danger. The same kind of danger that got her parents killed.

Bryn is a strong female character, and I relished her adroit maneuvering within her cutthroat family. I'm also a sucker for forbidden romance, so I silently cheered on the connection Bryn had with Ezra, a talented silversmith.

The Last Legacy is filled with dark mysteries and plot twists. I am definitely getting it for my library!

I have been a huge fan of Adrienne's work since her debut book Sky In The Deep, The Fable/Namesake world that Adrienne created was so captivating and hearing that The last legacy would be set in that world I knew that I would love this book too. Since The Last Legacy is a standalone, you do not need to read Fable and Namesake first but it is something I would always recommend as there are many breadcrumbs and

In The Last Legacy we follow the story of Bryn Roth, who is after spending most of her life away returning to the city of the Untamed Sea to find her place in the Roth family. Bryn is quick to realise that what she believed to be her future from a young age is potentially not all that it seems to be.
This story is a book about betrayals, family, destiny and retaking control of that destiny, following in what you believe in, including believing in a small forbidden romance that was so incredibly beautiful to follow as it bloomed throughout the book. Adrienne Young has a very strong ability to create a captive solid main character that you can not help but become attached too.

Overall this standalone exceeded all the expectations I had for this book and i can not wait to see what Saint is going to be like

Thank you so much to netgalley and Titan books for providing me with this e-arc
