I liked it but... i didn't love it.
There was too much (relationship) building and so little gain in the end. It left me wanting more as them as a couple.
I absolutely adored Benny and although Kyle wasn't my favorite in previous book I find him endearing in this one.
It was okay and I still really like this author but this wasn't my favourite one.

Super excited about the next book tho... *happy dance*

Such adorable knuckleheads, Eric in particular. I loved the fact that it was very obvious early on that this was way more than just some lessons in hooking up. The tenderness and quietness of their activities together warmed my heart. Not to say that the sexy times weren't highly enjoyable as well. These two had great chemistry, both in and out of the bedroom. Eric did linger a bit too long on the age thing and I would have liked so see some more of them officially being together, but overall this was a lovely and sexy romance that I really enjoyed. I also liked the inclusion of side characters from the other books and look forward to reading both Troy's story and the sequel to [b:Heated Rivalry|41735449|Heated Rivalry (Game Changers, #2)|Rachel Reid|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1539738291l/41735449._SY75_.jpg|65120637].

After reading Heated Rivalry again (loved it!), I decided to dive into this one ...

Meh! I really didn't get all the angst about age and Eric being too "old". I didn't buy it. I am pretty much the same age as Eric and I am not moping around thinking about throwing in the towel because my life is basically over. If anything, this was a huge downer for me and frustrating because there really wasn't much else going on that really held my interest ...

Also, I am always looking for ace representation ... which is still very rare and much needed. Except this really did not "ring true" ... attraction was too inconsistent (even for a demi) ... being ace like a light switch ... you really don't suddenly stare longingly at people's mouths shortly after you met them. Also, being ace doesn't always need to equate to robot personality and a extended abstenance before being "awakened" to the pleasures of sex, magically and miraculous for shits and giggles. It was inconsistencies like this that bugged me.

I kept hoping this one would get better, but it really didn't ...

I loved getting to see more of Kyle and I really loved Eric feeling comfortable coming out as an older, divorced bi man and I’m so happy that he and Scott bought the bar 😭
