I am dying to reread this novel and take a closer look at everything. It’s one of those quiet novel that simply demands to be thought about analysed.
A sort of giant retrospect of one’s life through the eye of a nameless main character who simply listens. It is also the story of rage and a woman being undone. I really enjoyed the unreliable narrator vibes this gave. I enjoyed it in its delicacy and preciseness.

It often happened … that we saw only the misshapen offspring of trauma, while we grew blind to the events that had given birth to it in the first place.

I loved the vibes and I feel like there’s a lot to unpack here. Not sure I fully understand everything, so this deserves a reread.

nothing extraordinary. at first i thought we were going to focus on our narrator and her thesis but it was nice to see that was not it. i genuinely think savaş's writing was beautiful and gripping. since the novel is short i finished it at one sitting but i was craving for more i guess? i don't know, maybe its being short is what makes the story speacial but i'd definitely read more about these women and their stories, especially the narrator since we didn't really learn much about her.
also the ending kind of fell flat for me. it could be because i was expecting something different.
