What an extraordinary and fascinating human. The impact of the Stolen Generations is so keenly described by Uncle Jack in all its complexity; I was so moved by his re-established relationships to his siblings. There is never a dull moment in this book, ranging from stints in prison to the highs of artistic success. Uncle Jack was frank and generous in sharing his life and his warmth, humour and deep care for his community radiates through. I really recommend the audiobook for obvious reasons.
