These have grown on me, but I like [b:Gyo Fujikawa's collection of poems|1358613|A Child's Book of Poems|Gyo Fujikawa|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388176642l/1358613._SX50_.jpg|2393842] better.

I read my toddler these rhymes at night, and am actually quite amazed how much he loves them. The sounds the poems make are soothing, fun, and comforting. The language is old and hard for even me to understand at times, but I think that’s great! We read, and listen, and think, and enjoy these rhymes, and try to enter back into a time when they were easy and familiar to families
To say to one another at night. I am grateful for this enchanting book.

Loved the illustrations by Tasha Tudor. Most of the poems were a hit, but some were not. A lovely introduction to poetry for kids.
