Sophie and her friends join the Black Swan and help cure a plague. This was very action-packed, but also a little depressing.
The gnome species almost went extinct, Calla sacrificed herself, and Keefe *somewhat* joins the Neverseen. He swears he's doing it to help them get answers, and not that he's evil, but I feel like something is going to happen with his mom that's going to change his mind. I mean he did kind of join to help save his mom who, as we know so far, is still in ogre prison most likely being tortured.
It felt rushed for the last 60-70 pages, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. I'm glad that Dex got more page time because I feel like he needs more. I also want more Linh and Tam, but I feel like I am going to get more in the next book,
