An interesting idea for a manga series about a young woman who isn't sure what falling in love feels like. The characters are well created and the illustrations bring them to life. I found myself rooting for the two and wanting to know more about them.

Super cute and cheesy. I love it! Definitely fangirling. Hananoi san is kind of obsessive but I still loved it.

So this originally came out in 2018 and my tastes have definitely changed and matured since then. This is my 3rd re-read total, but the first since it's out in legit u.s. licensed paperback form. I've decided I need to own the series but first let me share my thoughts from each read:

1st read: This is so romantic and swoon-worthy! What beautiful art!

2nd read: Wow this is a super toxic relationship and Hananoi-kun needs soooo much therapy. Art is still pretty tho.

3rd read: This is actually a pretty interesting look at what happens when a Yandere and a possible Ace/Demisexual begin navigating a relationship. There is growth and in the end, H-kun does realize he needs to work on himself and deal with his trauma and that it isn't up to Hotaru to fix him. And Hotaru, honestly never did put herself in the "fix it" role. She was there for him but called him out when he was being a creep. Also, the art is gorgeous.

Beautifully drawn and sweetly written. This is a sweet exploration of what love may mean for a possibly demi-ace character of Hotaru and Hanonai. I loved them getting to truly know each other and hopefully what a healthy version of love will mean. I placed the next one on hold and can't wait to devour it too.
