Pride and Prejudice is one of those classic novels that at some point, someone will be shoving at you to read. Luckily I managed to avoid that for most of my life, until my friend in university insisted I read it. The downside to classic novels is that you already have a fairly good idea of what will happen so there are no real plot twists that you didn't see coming, and the language tends towards... well... classic.

i read this book. it was pretty good. faster-paced than i expected.

when you turn the last page, however, you're just like: woah. wtf did i just read?!

what was this book about?

i've never read a book that was basically about nothing... until i read pride and prejudice.

still, considering that jane elicited my interest in the characters' empty, boring lives, i gotta give it to her. pretty damned smart woman.

This is the first piece of classic literature that made me giggle! Austen's prose is as lovely and radiant as Jane Bennet herself.

4.5 / 5.

wow. this was really wholesome. the beginning and the end were so good. do i even have to talk about the writing? jane austen is amazing. the only complaint i have is that the middle wasn't filled with much action. conclusion: i love mr. darcy.

Jane Austen just isn't my cup of tea. I respect the writing and the steps she made for women but could barely get through it.
