Mediocre. Could've had more romance or other aspects other than mystery.

Plot twist went crazy. Like I thought most of the hook as predictable but that final plot twist really came out of nowhere.

The pressures of ultra competitive, over achieving, affluent teens are deftly woven into a spiraling plot that progresses in a non-linear fashion as we meet Hana and a cast of characters desperate to maintain their image and live up to the crushing expectations set before them from family and peers.
Hana had it all, and in her attempt to live in some satellite proximity to her old life, has taken on the task of fixing for her peers to save their reputations and keep them from earning the wrong kind of attention.
There is a slow-burn to the plot development, and without spoiling anything, the book does an excellent job of making a compelling mystery even before big twists happen. At times the sheer competence and autonomy of the characters feels a little had to believe, but then again -- what do I know about being an elite?
Well worth the read, and highly appealing to anyone looking for a story with emotionally compelling stakes, character development, and twists. While some was a little predictable, I enjoyed reading it nonetheless.

the ending didn't do the story justice and what support group was that, seriously?

I bought the book because of the cover, as it is absolutely everything to me. And I was so glad to find a good story inside! Very well-crafted book, a captivating mystery with not too much plot twists and some thought-provoking character development. The whole narrative felt very smooth, balanced so that to keep you interested, but not to confuse you with too many events. It didn't even feel cheesy at the end, as it was not super sugar-coated, only somewhat hopeful. And I felt really connected to the main character, she has very similar character traits, which is a tad bit worrisome, but I take that.
