- Fable was a good main character. She was smart and she wasn't boring. She had flaws and goals and emotions and was fully fleshed out.
- West was cool.
- The characters were really great.
- The writing was a bit wordy at times.

- I liked Paj and Auster together.

- I can't wait to read the next book.

Not what I expected but a very readable and enjoyable book about a girl searching for family and trying to find her place in the world. Pirate/treasure hunt adjacent.

This was a really good book. I wish the relationships between all of the characters were built for the reader as much as they were described. But overall loved the plot line and the fact they were pirates. Pirates are great.

Awalnya cukup sulit untuk connect dengan dunia yang ada di Fable ini karena banyak istilah-istilah asing yang mungkin hanya familiar di dunia bajak laut. Tapi, setelah semakin lama ceritanya semakin membaik dan seru untuk diikuti.

Buku pertama ini sepertinya memang ingin mengajak pembaca untuk mengenali dunia perlayaran, per-bajak laut-an jadi belum ada konflik yang benar-benar menegangkan muncul meskipun beberapa kali ditunjukan seperti apa musuh yang mungkin akan datang di buku selanjutnya dan sejujurnya aku suka karena membuat aku menjadi lebih mengerti lagi tentang dunia yang dibangun di buku ini dan seperti apa kompleksitasnya.

Bagi yang berharap ada romance disini tetap akan mendapatkannya meskipun itu bukan hal utama yang akan diangkat tapi hubungan kedua tokoh utama yang slow burn, diam-diam saling peduli, diam-diam saling suka itu menarik banget diikutin dan malah menimbulkan ketertarikan sendiri ketika baca.

It’s incredibly light fantasy, almost doesn’t even belong in the fantasy category. The romance was a bit rushed and didn’t really exist until the very end and the male love interest was pretty bland.
