Biz just floats, she is not drowning or pushing against the current. She just floats. Going with everything in her life and calmly going with the current of her life. But everything takes a turn for the worse when an incident happens at a beach gathering with friends. Fox exquisitely examines what it's like to make mistakes and become an outcast. While simultaneously weaving in how the grief of a parent can affect a young adult while trying to handle high school and the pressures of fitting in. How It Feels To Float will leave the reader feeling grief, happiness, betrayal, and sadness while hoping Biz can reach her happiness. This book has great character development and explores what young adults go through while trying to reach adulthood

I struggled to get into it and then I struggled because I could see her descent but it was worth it and it broke my heart and I loved the ending.
