Truly a love letter to New York. It made me miss the unique chaos that is the city.

I received this book as an ARC from the Erie County Public library, where I work. The novel is perfectly witty, a little tongue in cheek, and simultaneously self-aware and whimsical, just like New York. I will without a doubt be purchasing this as a gift for a friend who will be making the move to Manhattan soon.

I was disappointed and underwhelmed with this book. Roz Chast’s art is the only thing that kept me finishing it. There was little depth or substance and the humor wasn’t enough to make up for that.

Nice way to learn about NY. The way she draws faces is creepy, though.
