“So I fell in love with an axe murderer!”

This book was fine just kind of boring, and I found the main character really irritating. Some hot takes on womanhood and cults that just don’t vibe with me.

Mostly a story of an unpopular teenager acting out because she so desperately wants to fit in with a group. It’s very difficult to stick it out through the graphic sex depictions about a 14 year old. I liked the commentary on how easily people can get sucked into the cult environment when it is mostly made up of mundanity, but not much else.

Pretty good book for the most part. Really like the author's writing style and I found the plot interesting. Main reason i didn't rate this 5 stars is due to the 'present day' parts. Showing Evie interacting with Sasha, Zav, and Julian was completely unnecessary. Didn't add anything to the story.
