Yesterday, I finished ᴛʜᴇ ᴏᴅᴅ ꜱɪꜱᴛᴇʀꜱ - ᴀ ᴛᴀʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʜʀᴇᴇ ᴡɪᴛᴄʜᴇꜱ from the ᴅɪꜱɴᴇʏ ᴠɪʟʟᴀɪɴꜱ series. I'm absolutely in love with this cover, though in my opinion its hinting a bit too much towards Snow White instead of the odd sisters. What I really loved about the design of this book has been the interior. It has a map and plenty of gorgeous illustrations in between.
Serena Valentino's writing style has been amazing. This is a thrilling, emotional story and it has been great to get to know more about the odd sisters and their motives. With its short chapters and the relatively simple wording, this book is an easy read for in between that is also suitable for younger readers. It has also been really to keep up with who is currently telling their story because of the various fonts that have been used.
Though the main characters are Circe, Snow, and of course the odd sisters, you will come across quite a few of the characters from all the other books in this series. Actually, if the odd sisters previously crossed someone's way, you can be sure they make at least a tiny appearance in this book. Circe and Snow are so easy to relate to with all their courage, love, and willingness to clean up their mothers' messes. They quickly became some favourites of mine and snuck into my reader's heart. Well, what can I say about the odd sisters? I still dislike them, even knowing their full story now. Their good intentions towards Circe just don't justify the cruel methods they always used to get what they wanted.
Even though I've been very sceptical about ᴛʜᴇ ᴏᴅᴅ ꜱɪꜱᴛᴇʀꜱ - ᴀ ᴛᴀʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʜʀᴇᴇ ᴡɪᴛᴄʜᴇꜱ, it became my clear favourite of the ᴅɪꜱɴᴇʏ ᴠɪʟʟᴀɪɴꜱ series. If you've always wondered why these evil witches do what they do, I'm definitely recommending that you read this book.

A slow start but honestly one of the better ones. I’m glad the plot is finally coming together and lowkey I was not expecting the big reveal at the end of what Circe needed to do. Serena has a good plot going here and this was the first book of the series I finished and immediately wanted to pick up the next one.
