This is one of the worst books I've read. I have no idea how it has endured so many years or has so many high ratings. It's a terrible & terribly outdated story with no redeeming qualities.

oh this just wasn't for me. I know this book is old but I didn't like that the girls are forced into the mother role. And the book was way more brutal than I thought I would be for children! Also found the writing style somewhat hard? how come that I can read demanding classics but some of these passages were just words to me??

This was so much fun and a lot funnier than I thought it was going to be. Peter is such a fun and interesting character I feel like I could read about his adventures for a long time. Overall just kind of fun and made me very happy to listen to.

Everyone's favorite story that they've never read. Interesting to return to Neverland as an adult, "ever so many more than twenty," and read the story again for the first time. Because we know the story, we can close our eyes and see the story and the characters, it's a part of our childhood, the part we hold onto as if by doing so part of us gets to remain a child, and yet I don't believe I'd ever read it.
My favorite part of my London trip this Fall was a visit to the Peter Pan statue at Kensington Gardens. The wish, the hope, that there is a way to preserve the magic we felt when we could fly on imagination keeps this story close to my heart.
The story might have grown older, dated, worn rough around the edges when viewed through a more modern lens. But the spirit and adventure and heart remain ageless.

Feeds your desire to return to the Neverland of your youth while delving deeper into the reality of the creation of the story.

The sad part is that some kids books I just don’t get. They should be magical and light-hearted, but to me this one just fell flat. The writing is beautiful, if a little dated, but I wasn’t transported. As a matter of fact I found it kind of odd.

Peter Pan is a stone cold creepy little serial killer okay and I always forget this till I re-read the book. Okay, like - evil little goblin child.
