Although I appreciated the way the story unfolded, it did take a while for the action to start with almost half of the novel being scene and character setting...however, once the murder occurred, Poirot quickly gets to work investigating, questioning and evaluating using only his "little grey cells".
This book was originally published in 1937, yet still makes for a interesting read. I enjoyed the twists and turns in the story when they came and did not anticipate the ending at all!
I owned a copy of this book and listened to it on CloudLibrary. I read this for prompt 27, by a neurodivergent author, for the 52 Book Club Reading Challenge 2024.

This book was slow at the start but overtime the pace picked up quite well. The story flows smoothly and I don't think I expected the later events. Also, that ending... so good.
