I liked it! It shows the struggle of working outside of legal structures as a migrant and dug into the workers‘ struggle. I do recommend it.

What's up with all these autobiographical comic books with comic book artists protagonists?

I am 100% behind the politics of this story. If you're someone who reads purely for the politics of a story, and you're pro-equality, pro-union, and pro-people being paid living wages, run, do not walk to pick up this book.

Unfortunately, there was too much in the beginning of this story that was uninteresting to me, and seemed unnecessary to the story. Not just the story beats, but also there are narration boxes that explain things that are also explained in the dialogue. I'm not sure if it's a translation issue, or the artist not trusting the reader, but I found it exhausting.

I also don't enjoy when the panels are cramped with word balloons, and that happened frequently in this book.

I recommend this for die-hard graphic memoir fans, people who like [a:Ariel Schrag|222245|Ariel Schrag|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1395249997p2/222245.jpg], [a:Lynda Barry|11646|Lynda Barry|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1530557874p2/11646.jpg], or [a:Alison Bechdel|21982|Alison Bechdel|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1245100306p2/21982.jpg], and people who want to be completely engrossed in the lives of someone they share political interest with.

The story of a young Polish woman, Daria (25) who goes to Sweden for school and work.  Without work, she can't get a social insurance number, and without a social insurance number, she can't get work, so she starts working under the table.  She becomes aware of the exploitation of non Swedish employees, and she takes her fight to the union to see what can be done about workers'rights.
The story is an easy read, interspersing elements of union organizing with the ebb and flow of Daria's love life.
