This book had a loooootttt of filler (or it felt like it), which I get was needed, but I struggled to get through some of it.

The last ~40% or so though, I devoured! The ending….made me scream!

Overall this is a four star series! I’m glad I read it and can see myself rereading it in the future.

I think this was my least favorite book, though, unfortunately. The first 100 pages felt slow.

Auren’s story line felt a little disconnected and random. I liked Malina’s story line. Slade’s was good too.

I love love love this series. Auren has a very special place in my heart. That’s why it makes me sad to only give Gold 3 stars. I just felt this was way too much filler and I could have been condensed down into a novella before the finale. We are still stuck in a cliffhanger which is frustrating and it was just a lot of fluff. I hope the final book gives me the feeling the other ones gave me!

Definite cash grab book.

Nothing really happens except for Queen Marlinas story arc. A little bit happen plot wise in the last 20 pages… which does not warrant a 600+ page book.

Slade really could have been skipped out as his chapters were borderline copy and paste of each other. Auren was frustratingly dumb.

This was good. I didn’t care for Malinas story much I really just wanted Slade the whole time. Can’t wait to read Goldfinch but also sad that it’s the last book
