Loved Evelyn Hugo so wanted to try another Taylor book.
Found it to be the same, a slow start but it picked up the more into it you got (100 pages or so)
Has some hard hitting narrative in terms of addiction so trigger warning before choosing
I found with it being an interview that sometimes it was tricky to read and there are at least 8 characters that it jumps between

Overall, I did enjoy it but it’s not an easy read

Obsessed. Completely and utterly.

I seemed to devour this. I loved the interview writing style, which made this very bingeable. I loved the cast of characters, and the twists and turns that make them up. I was routing for them all in my own way. I’m a sucker for the 1970’s so the setting was an absolute dream for me. And I loved that this wasn’t a traditional love story. The love/hate relationship between Daisy and Billy had me every step of the way.

And most of the little twists at the end! So brilliantly executed, and they came seemingly out of nowhere. This will definitely be a reread for me at some point as I would love to read this knowing what happens at the end for any clues.

I found the narrative not centring Daisy towards the end a lil disappointing but the perspective of a young artist beautiful.
Spoiler the twist at the end made it feel like the plot of how I met your mother like this guy was a jerk why do we care again? But at the same time it brought tears to my eyes and made me want to reread it so unconvlusive feelings< /spoiler>

I loved this book! TJR has a talent for writing books that feel very real. I really enjoyed the format and listening to the audiobook because there was a full cast of characters. There was a fun twist near the end and I love thinking about how the many narrators are telling slightly different stories and may or may not be unreliable. The characters were complex and full of depth and such a joy to read about the entire time.
