If you're looking for a conventional thriller, you may be disappointed, but I loved this book. In particular, I think Schaitkin did a great job peeling back the layers of Alison's personality. This book isn't as plotty as the description makes it sound but nonetheless I could not put it down.

This was so unlike anything I’ve read. It wasn’t just about her sister’s disappearance, but so much more. So many different POVs and unreliable narrators.. I loved this!

coming back here to say that this book was written for me and only me. felt so profoundly seen by this fictional girl/woman and her search to understand her fictional dead sister.
