Oh my. Non-stop heart beating and heart twisting. But so much love. What an ending too!

Celia's family and loved ones are threatened by a close foe, but they can't know why she's doing what she is doing - for her to save them.
Wow! If I hadn't been in Celia's head, I would have thought the girl was going stark raving mad. Amazingly well written for me, the reader, to see that what Celia is doing has reason but that if I was in her sisters and the wolves shoes, I'd think her crazy!
Celia is always the big sister and trying to keep everyone safe. She's the protector, as her tigeress is strong and set the bar with Celia protective nature of being the oldest sister as well. But she needs to be protected too! I feel for this woman. Doing what is right and still put through the wringer. All that Celia suffers for those she loves - her sisters, the wolves, Aric... good grief! Celia's parents were cursed for their love, and Celia seems doomed to follow the family love events.
This book pushes every last character to their limits and beyond. Some may not return...
Heart pounding and heart twisting actions here. Things that people have to do for each other is just heart gripping. You won't be able to put the book down. I couldn't put the book down! I HAD to know what would happen next. How bad would it be? When would it get better? To get a taste of the light then have it pushed a little further away to work harder for it. Every event made me think this had to be the low point and it couldn't get worse... It does. But there are glimpses and drops of hope that kept me wanting more.
Life doesn't get easier for the Wird sisters, but they keep on kicking back with the little glimmers of hope they have and the love they feel.
Cecy has delivered with another outstanding novel. I was a bit worried about the anguish going into this book as the last was starting to feel strong with it. But this book pulled out and ahead of the game with where we go here.
Once again, I can't wait for the next novel to come out!!

A Cursed Bloodline is book four in the Weird Girls series by Cecy Robson. We are taken on an action packed emotional ride in each and every installment. Ms. Robson does her trade mark writing, where everything and anything can happen. We get action, adventure, heartache, lose, twist, turns, suspense, surprise, and it all revolves around Celia Weird.
As always we get so much happening that I don’t know where to begging or end. Fans that have enjoyed the Weird Girls so far will enjoy this latest installment. I suggest you have a box of tissues while reading this novel. I cried. I laughed. I yelled. I sighed. I said oh no…
A Cursed Bloodline starts of with news we have been waiting for, but it comes with the knowledge that she has so much more to lose. She must fight and sacrifice to protect those she loves. Everyone, even family does not understand why she makes the choices she does and she can’t tell them. Aric hates her, her sister’s think she is crazy, but Danny, our Blue Merle wolf, is a true friend sticking by her no matter what and of course he figures out what is happening. We get a little glimpse into his powers and what he can do that makes him special among the wolves. Halfway through the book we get another turn of events and it was about time things changed in Celia’s life. It is still a hard bump road for her, but Celia is true to herself and fights for what she wants. Destiny, our sear vamp, makes another appearance and surprise surprise we get more clarification on her vision. There are a few back storylines going on with the sisters and I would like to see them get their own books someday.
I still have some issues with some characters in this book. Aric he still has not redeemed himself in my eyes after everything he put Celia through. Then Misha OMG (you will know the moment I am talking about, where I said oh no you did not do that). I also felt a little overwhelmed as so much happens in this book (maybe too much).
The Weird Girls are an emotional read, full of magic and action that keep you coming back for more. As always this was another emotional roller coaster ride for me and I am waiting to see where things go from here.

This book was pretty brutal. For a pregnant woman she sure gets kicked around a LOT in this book. It got to that point where I was all, please! Please, do not have people beat her up anymore!
Right, so the book is violent. I guess you already guessed that. Someone is hurting her and it's not pretty. Then there is the whole I am preggers and no one knows angle. And of course the I must stay away from Aric and it breaks me angle. It does not make for a happy book. Everyone is miserable. Everyone!
But Celia is trying to get out of the corner she has been backed into. I have forgiven Aric and I just want them together. I still love Misha, poor Misha :/ He needs a woman. Anyway, the way out of that corner is filled with fights, blood and heartache.
One thing, a lot happened, not always in a good way. There was just a lot going on, they just jumped from one thing to another. But oh well, at least I was never bored then. Non stop action.
And then that thing at the end, omg, evil. I just want everyone to be happy. Please make everyone happy.

I received this book as an ARC from netgalley and Random House for an honest review.
This was my first book by Cecy Robson, and of course my first Weird Girls book. Though I sometimes felt like I was missing tidbits of info because I hadn't read the earlier books, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a riveting, edge of your seat type book that kept me on my toes throughout. Though I didn't know the characters as well as someone that had followed this series from the beginning would, I quickly got a feel for the personalities. I did have a little trouble keeping everyone straight, such as who was whose mate, but again, I feel if I'd read the previous books, I would have been more in sync with this info. There's a very good chance that I'll go back and start at the beginning, this was such an enthralling story. There were three major arcs to the story from my point of view, making the story all the more interesting. There were also tons of secondary plots going on, but it all meshed well to create a cohesive tale. I would say that if someone is a fan of the Weird Girls, they should definitely pick up this title, but I don't think I'd recommend it as a starting point for the series or as a stand alone, unless you're not bothered by missing pieces that could be easily filled in by reading the previous books. Definitely worth the time.

There is heartache, betrayal, and love. Torture, horrible pain, and healing. We also have the sister bond and all the personalities that surround them.

A CURSED BLOODLINE was a depressing, torturous, and heart wrenching addition to the Weird Girls series. Come to think of it. The last few books have been like that as well, but book 4 is a little more of all of those. Celia and Aric are finally back together in book 3 and then the battle at the end of CURSED BY DESTINY happens and things once again change. On top of that. A familiar enemy shows up in the beginning of A CURSED BLOODLINE and puts another obstacle in Celia and Aric's path to happiness.
I REALLLY wanted something to go right for Celia in book 4, but every time that happens something rips it apart. It DOES get tiring and it DOES make me want to throw my book against the nearest wall, but I still couldn't put the darn book down. I don't think it's too much to ask that ONE of these books doesn't feature Celia being torn to pieces in some way. Hopefully we will get that at some point sooner rather than later.
The secondary characters of this series play a big part in every book and it is great to see connections grow and strain with each installment. Ok… the first word that comes to mind when I think about A Cursed Bloodline is “OUCH!” I’ve grown rather fond of and attached to these characters and currently they are all in a hurricane of crushing despair. It’s like every time a glimmer of hope popped up a big old kick to the metaphorical nuts was right around the corner. Can’t anyone just catch a freaking break? I’m so emotionally drained from reading this one. That’s the main reason it took me so long to finish it. As I was reading I kept getting to the point where it was just too much and I had to go calm down for a bit before I could continue. I don’t know how Celia handled it.
The thing I really dig about Celia is her strength. Not necessarily physical strength (although she does kick some major ass in this one) but her inner strength. She has been beaten down (and up for that matter) so many times that it’s amazing she gets back up at all. How can everyone be so continually cruel to her? I really love the girl so it’s like torture porn to have to watch her get kicked in the teeth every day by her enemies and by those who she cares for. Even in the end she finally got a little bit of happiness and even that was tinged bittersweet. If this were almost any other heroine I think they would have gave up already. That’s why Celia is so amazing. She endures and chooses to fight and thrive.
O Mischa. While it’s always been Aric for Celia ever since the beginning, Mischa has been there every step of the way. If things really never worked out between Aric and Celia and they were irrevocably severed, I think Mischa would be the only other man who could possibly love her as much. In another life maybe Celia would have been with Mischa and been happy but that’s just not how this story is going to go. I love Mischa in all his cocky glory and I really want for him to get a HEA of his own.
Here’s an idea, why don’t Aric and his warriors form an independent pack? They will lose their standings and finances from the pack but who cares? They could start a private security firm or something and make their own damn money! Seriously, FUCK the weres. The wolves and weres in general mostly suck. They are a group of controlling and vindictive pricks and I hate them with all of my being. And everyone gives the vamps a lot of guff for being assholes! They may be assholes but it’s never anything especially personal. That’s just how they are to everyone. Personally, I’d rather hang with someone who’s jerky to everyone rather than someone who’s specifically only jerky to me.
I’m not going to sugar coat things… this book is devastating and dark. The abuse meted out to Celia and her loved ones is horrendous. I won’t get into specifics because of the spoiler risk but… wow. The sheer magnitude of the hurt is astounding and I can’t even begin to fathom how everyone will continue on. But on the bright side, A Cursed Bloodline is somehow still rather funny. I think it was the contrast between all the despair that made the bright spots brighter and the funny parts funnier. The Catholic Schoolgirls were hands down my favorite in this one. Every time they showed up it was just so funny, especially Edith and her roaming hands. Also, slight spoiler, Celia gets a surprise enema at a spa. You have to read it to get the full effect of the comedy there but I think the phrase “surprise enema” is funny enough all on its own.
In the end, good prevailed and Anara got annihilated. OBVIOUSLY! That’s not a spoiler! Good always wins in a book and there’s no way anyone could think that Anara was just going to get away with everything. So for that I was grateful. However, Cecy Robson just had to slip in one last emotional dick punch at the end there. Why can’t it just end on a nice note? DAMMIT CECY! You had better put a big ass freaking rainbow at the end of the next book or I will never forgive you!
P.S.BREMME! I had a wild prediction that maybe there could be a Bren and Emme situation and then laughed because I thought it would never really happen. It still hasn’t happened but I think it’s fairly obvious that Emme is Bren’s mate. I mean he popped a million boners for her while he was in a coma and she was taking care of him. All he needs to do is just freaking realize it and stop banging random girls for a minute! START MATING!

It was ok I am just getting sick of the endless ways Celia gets attacked, beaten up, almost killed and emotionally and physically battered. It has gotten so ridiculous I am not sure I can continue on. A little suffering and adversity for our hero & heroine to overcome is fine and makes a good story - this level just makes a painful read. And all the cryin! Don't get me wrong she has PLENTY of reason to cry it just doesn't make for an entertaining read. Nice to have her and Aric together (although I like Mischa better) but I have no faith that they wont be ripped apart in some tragic way two pages into the next book. I did love interaction with Mischa's vampire family, especially the catholic school girls. They are so entertaining.
