It felt rushed and yet it took forever at times. I liked the dynamic between Alice and Violet, but I think it needed fleshed out more

This is the first book I have read by this author and loved it. Now I want to read more in this series by this author. The story was action filled and had me on the edge of my seat. I appreciated how the author created complex well developed characters. Great suspense.

The writing style doesn’t work for me. It’s too … obvious almost. Everything is too on the nose.

It wasn’t perfect, it i sure thought it was a lot of fun. To me it had Wayfairer vibes as much as Firefly con namedropped in the blurb. It would certainly make for a fun space opera on the big screen, but might get too bogged down if produced for a streaming series.

I hope the sequel focuses on Ivy.

May come back around and give this another stab as I loved the premise, but I didn't gel with the writing style.

A perfect escape, and just what I needed to go back down the steampunk rabbit hole!
