It was also really nice to see that there was so much gay in this book?? It was just nice to have some pansexual representation💅🏼
Especially Henry’s thoughts about loving someone first before considering their gender made me🥹
Anyway, nice book, read it👍🏼
And thank you Annebelle for giving this to me for my birthday over a year ago, I’m sorry I only read it now😭

France, 1714: in a moment of desperation, a young woman makes a Faustian bargain with the darkness to live forever - and is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets. Thus begins the extraordinary life of Addie LaRue, and a dazzling adventure that will play out across centuries and continents, across history and art, as a young woman learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world. But everything changes when, after nearly three hundred years, Addie stumbles across a young man in a hidden bookstore and he remembers her name.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is more than a love story showcasing how messy, wonderful, strange, frightening and fragile love can be. It’s a story about Addie LaRue, a fiercely independent and stubborn girl who used her wit to be remembered in a world that easily forgets.

Anyway, I'm inspired to write three tragic relationship stories from this book alone so thanks V.E. Schwab for that! And if you like dark, romantic, and life-questioning books - and any other books written by V.E. Schwab - then I would highly recommend this book!!

Also, this book does highlight particularly well the saying “be careful what you wish for” in a unique way and Schwab really does make a beautiful story surrounding this concept.
The characters are likeable yet complex and their flaws add depth to their relationships to one another.
Overall, I think this book is slightly overhyped but that being said it’s still worth reading if you’re interested in a bit of fantasy, love and a good ending.
Minor: Violence
