I LOVE competition show novels, especially if they're queer, and this is no exception! I will read every YA book Lyla Lee authors. My only issue is that the connection with Skye and Henry didn't go as deep as I'd have liked, but I love them both anyway. And all of Skye's friends are fantastic. I loved the way this resolved and think it'd be so cool to see a sequel!

Okay that was really stinking cute. I picked it up for a reading challenge and honestly I am glad I did. It deals with hard topics but does it in a way that feels natural.

Lighthearted and easy to ready. Loved all the depictions into what it’s like to grow up within the korean culture. I think the book is a refreshing perspective to dealing with fatphobia.
Also the bi representation was just a cherry on top of everything!
. I’m hoping more of the books from the author have very similar topics in them!

While pets of the book are cute and funny, there’s also a LOT of body image stuff that makes this one a hard read.
