My second favorite "One Upon a Time is Timeless" series so far. This story really takes time to build up the character's backstory and stretches beyond the fairy tale plot to make for a more mature telling.

Okay so I found this book interesting but also boring. I just felt there were some parts that wouldn’t have made a difference if it were out of the story.
What’s interesting is it’s like Snow White but completely different which I loved. Instead of an apple and the step mother being a witch the Stepmother is a scientist, which is pretty cool even if some of it was a bit crazy. She is trying to make a son since she is past child bearing years and the duke needs a son because women just can’t rule, it’s not allowed. The assistant/fiddler boy helps snow escape before the duchess is able to kill her. She believes eating Snow’s heart will help her create a son. While she’s in hiding in London, Snow is taken in by this group called the Lonely Ones who we find out later were actually created by the Duchess while she was trying to create a son. There are 5 of them and they’re all half human half animal, so they only make appearances at night.
I was really hoping she would end up with Raven at the end, the ending kind of hints that they are together just not officially married. They end up taking a tour around Europe in the end.

I liked this book way more than I thought I would! I loved how the villain had so much depth beyond just vanity, and the mysterious nature of her power. I was not expecting the romance to play out how it did, but I’m so glad with the direction it went in. I was kept on my toes throughout the book, which is not easy to do with a re-telling of a fairytale. It was excellent!

Snow is my favorite out of the Once Upon A Time series. I think this gives you enough reason to read it. :)

I adored this book while reading it. If you wanted a new creation to the Disney snow white this is the book for you. It is my favorite take to Snow White.

Spoilers:
"Snow" by Tracy Lynn is a retelling of Snow White. In this book Jessica "Snow" grows up under the servants care after her mother dies and her father couldn't stand to look at her until her new stepmother arrives. One day at her first party something horrible happens to her and she is locked in her room for two years until her friend helps her escape where she meets a band of unique people. And after growing close to them she is then tricked by her stepmother into a sleeping curse until Raven and the band help her out of it.

I would give "Snow" by Tracy Lynn a 5 star review because, 1; I LOVE fairy tale retellings 2; I love how the author made Snow fall in love with a member of the band of unique people 3; I liked how the author made the stepmother into someone who is a scientist who tries to make herself pregnant since its a different side from her being into magic 4; I liked how Snow tried to understand and befriend the band of unique people instead of judging them.

I'm a huge fan of retelling of common fairy tales and this one is excellent. It's a version of Snow White involving a crazy step-mother obsessed with having her own child
Spoiler (even if it means creating one from baby animals and strange alchemy she invents in her secret room).
Snow deals with the usual hatred and mistreatment from her stepmother before running away and discovering a strange, secret underworld in the nearby city, where she meets some new friends who have quite the crazy origin story. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an interesting new fairytale to read. The only thing I didn't like about this was that it was only one book! I wish I knew what happened next!

If you haven't figured it out already, it's my goal this year to read all of the books in this series, or at least the majority of them. Since the books are realtively small it won't be that time consuming, plus they're based on Fairy tales and I won't lie I have a thing for Fairy tales.

This one started similar to another book in this series I'd read, but quickly got diffrent, which I enjoyed. I was really liking this book and going through it really quick. That is untill the Lost Ones, AKA the seven dwarfs, came into the picture. It's not like I have a thing for bearded men or anything, but I had a hard time getting my mind around to animal based dwarfs. Cats, Sparrows, Rats, Ravens, etc. They're humans mixed with Animals. Strange huh?

Eventually I got over it, and actually started enjoying the book again. And by my four star rating, it's pretty clear I liked the book regardless of the wierd half human half animals.
