This was another cute small town romance by my fave Melanie Harlow!
It was a fun, cute time and I can't wait to continue the series!

What a follow up to Runaway Love? Next sibling in the Buckley clan gets their HOA, and although it is in the same series, with the same characters, this book can be read as a standalone.
When Xander Buckley gets a call from the man who saved his life, asking for a favor, he doesn't hesitate to say yes. His friend wants him to protect his younger sister, Kelly Jo, while she is on vacation near Cherry Tree Harbor. Thing is Kelly Jo Sullivan is better known as Pixie Hart, the international singing sensation, a spitfire that most definitely doesn't want a bodyguard. But after it becomes apparent that someone has tipped off the paparazzi to Kelly Jo's whereabouts, she reluctantly agrees to let Xander stay. With an insane amount of chemistry between them, it is inevitable that it will ignite and once it does, there is no stopping these two. With Xander opening a new bar and Kelly Jo reaching new heights in her career, there are several roadblocks to overcome before they can make a life together.

This is a story of love, self respect, trust and belonging all brought together in the Buckley family. Love this series.

I loved Xander, and Kelly grew throughout the book. But my favorite part was the one-sentence chapters. They were hilarious.

This is such a cute addition to the Cherry Tree Harbor series. This book follows Xander, who has left his days of Private Sercurity behind him. Until his buddy calls and says he needs a protection detail for his famous country star sister, Pixie Hart, who has decided to go off on her own for a break from the limelight. One problem... she doesn't want him there, tries everything in her power to get rid of him before the trip even begins.

Throw in some accidental nudity, stalker paparazzi, and an adorable small town, and you have Hideaway Heart. I really enjoyed this addition to the series. It did a good job of blending the different parts of the story from secluded cabin forced proximity to her country music star lifestyle she has to return to.

A perfect feel-good, quick comfort romance. With explicit spice.

All. That. TENSION!!! Gah! Kelly and Xander were both stubborn and strong-willed individuals, so it took a bit for them to earn the other person's trust and to realize that they needed to give a little to get a little. Piece by piece, the walls they'd erected came down, and they saw that there was more to one another than they had initially thought. I loved how Kelly kept Xander on his toes and how he showed her that he was nothing like her ex-boyfriend. He encouraged her to pursue her passions and be the kind of artist she always wanted to be, and she supported his dreams of making his bar a success. There wasn't any unnecessary drama, although I must say that the ex-boyfriend was a true jerk in every sense of the word and deserved what he got. Family was, once again, an important part of the story, and I'm already excited to see which Buckley sibling falls next. Overall, I so adored Hideaway Heart and the bonus scene is a must-read! Five stars.
