S.J. Tilly never disappoints! I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. I swear Nero and King are so unintentionally hilarious I can read a book of them just quipping at each other. I love that there’s no time wasted on having second thoughts or making stupid decisions. They way that these men love and protect their women is something else let me tell you. The story is amazing and it’s also well paced, you don’t feel like your just going through the motions as reader or that the author is just dragging the story line either.

I really enjoyed this book it was so good I’m enjoying this whole series it’s so good the scene's were so😩🌶️ this book is spicy it has a happy ending with no cliffhanger’s it has no cheating between the main character’s and no love triangle some of the tropes are Forced Marriage, Age Gap, Billionaire Romance and many more i loved Nero in this book i love King & Nero’s friendship there friendship is so funny they love irking each other but come in clutch always when needed I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series overall i rated this book 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The mmc was entirely unlikable and the fmc had no backbone. I cheered when she
ran away from him
, but that was short lived and made worse in the end when he
"fucked her into submission"
, yuck. There's 'dub con' and then there's 'NC', and this was far too close to non consent for my liking.

SJ has done it again! I swear I will never not be a fan of her books. I was hoping to see more King and Nero banter in King's book, and SJ Tilly did not disappoint. I loved King and Savannah's story. I loved how much of a badass Savannah was and her development throughout the story.

It was just okay. Seemed all over the place, and the King character in this book seemed different from the King character i read in the Hans and Nero books. He felt so young and carefree in those 2 books i was shocked when i found out he was actually 45 😅 he was so serious here (not bad, but he felt like a totally diff character).

Anyway, i liked the supporting characters! They were fun. Introduction of other characters were kinda sloppy and out of the blue though, like some random FBI agent? And a guy named… Tye? The random bad guy etc, and the 3rd act conflict was out of the blue :/ like boom, new random character was added without much relation to the couple.
it would’ve been more understandable if that bad guy was set free by that mayors or mayors brother, but nope hahaha
There were some potholes as well
like how the FMC saw some guy stalking outside their home, and realizing he didnt have a flashlight unlike the other guards… and didnt mention that suspicious guy at all?

Too much smexy scenes though so i skimmed those. Overall not really as dark as othe rbooks i see online since it focuses on the relationship.

Cringey dialogue was bearable 😂

My summary: Savannah is on a third date with a lame guy she’s already planning on never seeing again, when they run into his wife and her mob boss brother, King. Savannah soon learns that King is not one to be crossed and is swept into his world in a rather coercive fashion. In the most unlikely situation you can imagine, King is instantly drawn to Savannah, and Savannah soon realizes that she may be falling in love with King.

My thoughts: If you want a twisted, dark, and deliciously smutty mafia romance, look no further. It’s a pretty f*cked up plot. I mean, this is not morally grey here. This is straight up, gruesome, almost deranged gangster sh*t throughout most of it. And I absolutely devoured it and thoroughly enjoyed, well, almost all of it. Literally couldn’t put it down and read it in about a day. I definitely recommend you check out the trigger warnings on this one, this series is not for the faint of heart or the easily squeamish.
