This was a fun, adventurous graphic novel! I loved all the settings and the relationships between the two sets of siblings. (I did have an issue with a particular scene at the end proceeded by another scene. It wasn’t anything too bad but just funny/weird.)

Fun adventure story, start of a series, but I had a hard time telling the twin characters apart sometime - I know they are identical, but come on!

Great fun! The beginning is a bit rocky but kids who push through will love this adventure of two sets of scheming twins who are trying to make their way out of poverty by posing as the long lost children of a wealthy man. Starting out as rivals, the four soon become friends and protectors of each other. Sets up with a satisfying ending but leaves the door wide open for book 2.

Old-fashioned adventure on the high seas and in tropical jungles. Set in the nineteenth century, two sets of red-haired twins race from New York to San Francisco with pirates! on their tail. #bookaday

I thought this was good- it wasn't super compelling for me for most of it- but I am interested in seeing what happens next. I liked the ship's mate- I'd like to know more about him.

Got this book for Christmas (thanks, Nick!) and I loved it. I'm sad this book didn't exist when I was a kid because it would've been so my thing. Pirates and adventure and interweaving stories. Though the book was extremely fast paced it didn't feel rushed like many graphic novels do to me.

I can't personally speak to the racial representation in this book, but nothing particularly egregious stood out to me.

I really enjoyed it, would recommend it as a middle grade pick for the voracious graphic novel reader, and can't wait to get the sequel!
