First Thought when Finished: Softly at Sunrise was the perfect follow up for Rachel and Ethan!

What I Thought of the Story: Softly at Sunrise gave us the perfect chance to reconnect with Ethan and Rachel from KGI 1! I love that we get to see Rachel and Ethan still healing and taking it day by day. Their story is heart-warmingly beautiful.

What I Thought of the Characters: I love the KGI series and the characters are all so fantastically written. I dare you not to fall in love with the Kellys and their extended family, friends, and team!

Final Thought: For a novella, Softly at Sunrise packed a punch and left me smiling!

Oh my god, oh my god, omg!

This book is just so wonderful!
I can't say enough about it.
If you fell in love with Rachel and Ethan then you HAVE to read this book.
There is surprise, shock, tears, grief, love, joy, wounder, and family all rolled in.
I can't get over how much I loved this book.
This isn't a long review because you just need to go and read the book and know I feel all the feels and you will too.

Really liked this short book it kind of felt like a long epilogue with drama. Still love Ethan and Rachel.

this book was [b:The Darkest Hour|6634409|The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1)|Maya Banks|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327927870s/6634409.jpg|6828809] 2.0 as it revisited Ethan and Rachel Kelly.
If you remember at the end of Book 1, Rachel and Ethan were trying to rebuild their marriage and their life after the kidnapping and almost divorce.

Here, they are building a new house and trying to make new memories. Rachel is trying to get back in the work force and get her feet on solid ground again. These two are finally headed in the right direction when Rachel gets in another bind. Will this one finally break their fragile bond?

Rachel has come a long way and so has Ethan. The Kelly men were raised well. Kudos to Frank and Marlene as they take their job, country and family very seriously. Ethan is being as supportive as he can and Rachel is doing her part with counseling too.

I am very glad the author gave us the epilogue to show us that these two loving couple are having brighter days.

Way too crazy. All the crazy stuff happens to people close to the Kellys.
