The fmc was such a nieve stupid idiot. The mmc betrayed her and she went back to him so many times just bc she was horny. I cannot be more annoyed by the author's ability to make the fmc's into sex crazed idiots. There's always some kind of betrayal then they have sex and all is forgotten. Would it hurt to fmc's have a spine or some self respect. 🤦🏽‍♀️ The plots of Tate James books are always interesting to me but the fmc's always disappoint me. Also, I'm not some frigit pearl-clutching-and-dramatically-gasping chick but fir the love of god not everything has to revolve around sex 😩

This one picks up where book 1 left off. Tris forged the infamous “Poppy flowers”. John stole them then was attacked by his dad. His father was caught and that is when it was discovered that it was a forgery. The man Tris stole them makes a deal with her, marry his son and make another forgery. Tris accepts and then we have the craziness of everything. Someone keeps breaking into her room leaving her notes. Sin is both intriguing because he is in love with someone and wants to marry her so his father can stop setting him up. John and Tris have a hard time staying away from each other. Every time she goes to end it they end up screwing. The smex is always hot as hell. I loved it. The audiobook for this was also so damn good and I am obsessed with the narrators now. Thanks for that.

"I'd rather have your hate than your indifference.
Hate is still passion, Tris, whether you like it or not."

This book was more fast paced than the last which kept me very intrigued and turning pages! LOVE the narration, the accents… all of it. Still hard core in love with all Tate James books.
