This series was recommended by my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. They both had the books and I borrowed them. After the first book, I really was curious about the rest of the series and I enjoyed this second book a lot! I definitely plan on reading the other books in this series.

For people who love mystery/crime books, this is definitely a lovely series to read. The characters are enjoyable, the cases are fun to read. The book is easy to get through and the setting is, in my opinion, beautiful! Around the coast somewhere in Sweden, lovely! I will definitely continue reading this series by Viveca Sten.

This book is extremely mundane. It includes descriptions of how long people slept, what exactly they ate at every meal, down to the order in which they ate each item, and let’s not forget that July is the month that everyone takes vacation. And also two people were murdered. But don’t expect a fast paced story, because it takes place in July, and everyone takes vacation that month.

The mystery was excellent and I very much like the continuing growth of the main characters.
Possible spoilers:
I figured out whodunit, but only when the author was basically pointing it out. I think my own unconscious bias and the tricky handling of POV and nicknames led me astray on the motive this one but once I realized it, the answer was clear.
My biggest complaint is that I really detest Nora's husband. I've been really unhappy with her determination to not rock the boat with the abusive jerk, since the first book. I even peaked at the next few books to confirm the relationship would be ending. I don't think I could keep reading otherwise.

This is a pretty interesting series, set on a resort island in Sweden. Interesting mysteries, and nicely drawn characters. Setting is used well also.

Another re-read. I like this story because the murder is sooo interesting. There are so many witnesses to the murder (although, most don't exactly realize it), but none of the murderer. The story is interesting because you see the motive of the different characters and but you don't know exactly who or what it's about. Henrik is REALLY annoying (as he's supposed to be), so since this is a re-read, I did skip over his parts. Again, I like the relationship between Nora and Thomas. It's interesting to get a cop perspective and a layperson (who is a very helpful lawyer - who happens to know a lot about other types of law - I'm a lawyer and I do not, but that's me!). The mystery is so interesting to see how and why the murderer did what he/she did (no spoilers?). I recommend this book for someone who likes mysteries, different POVs, and nothing too dark, but still intriguing.

Another great book from this Swedish writer. Angela Dawe narrates it very well. In this episode, a man who heads a yacht club is shot and killed at the start of a race. I recommend this series.

Oikein leppoisaa lukemista tämä sarjan toinenkin osa, pidin. Hiukkasen huomasin kyllä ärsyyntyväni siitä, ettei Nora meinannut saada pidettyä puoliaan suhteessa mieheensä, Henrikiin, vaan antoi tämän kävellä noinkin paljon itsensä yli!
Tämän sarjan lukemista täytyy jatkaa.
