I think this book is useful for people who don't know anything about IFS. For me, it was a frustrating read since I had already read an excellent book on the subject.

I first accidentally read the book by the same author directed at care providers instead of this book. I loved it and vowed to circle back to this book for information about applying these concepts for yourself. Weirdly, this book fell totally flat for me, even though I agree with most of what it says.

I wasn't expecting the societal and geopolitical tie-ins, and while I agree with the author's sentiments, it fell flat for me. Maybe that angle should be a separate book. I feel like (sadly) a lot of people who need IFS help the most would have a (parts-originated) reaction that harms the intent of the book. Definitely this book feels like it was written during the pandemic.
