STOP I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!

this book - to me - was even better than the first. why? becuase we were introduced into the world more, with actual strigoi appearances and a *spoilers* DEATH! it was so exhilarating seeing what rose and the rest of that group went through, mainly because i feel like this opened so many more doors for this series.

the tension between rose and dimitri was exquisite as always, and i can't wait to see what's in store for them with the rest of the series. also! adrian! HELLOOO???? i love him so much and it's only been one book.

to me, this book felt more mature and "adult" even if it is YA, and i really really enjoyed the darker themes to it. it made this book so enjoyable.

I think this is one of my favorite books in the series. It has enough drama and action in the book to keep the pace going and it has events that make you really feel something for the characters. It just sort of draws you in. It's a great sequel to the first book.

[Reread] Thank you as always to the book that gave me Adrian Ivashkov. My life was bereft without him.

It didn't disappoint.

Compare to Vampire Academy, Frostbite is better. It explained a lot but it still has the mystery to keep you go on with the series. And there are new characters to love for and to be looked at through the series. e.g. Adrian Ivashkov and Tasha Ozera. The action was also increasing gradually and so as the badass-ery of our characters especially Rose.

Rose. Okay, Rose is really one-of-a-kind. She was really spontaneous, brave, aggressive, determined and very likeable young woman who always think her bad/not-so-bad attitudes were bad and will not help on her current situation but still do it anyway. I like that really and I love how her character has been developed thus far.

Dmitri, Mason and Christian had got some levelling of development did but I'm afraid Lissa didn't. No knew things about her. Just practising every now and then her spirit magic and making up with Christian. Gaahd.

But with Frostbite, my favourite character is MIA! Because she was a water-type, not Pokemon, but a non-royal Moroi and I like water and I admire her courage.

I can give it a 5 stars if it wasn't that predictable to me. I don't know but my prediction to what will happen next is always right, if not, almost always right.

I didn’t think it was 5 star worthy so i rounded down to a 4. I had some bits of secondhand embarrassment while reading, but overall the book was good. I love all the characters including Rose and Dimitri. considering how i kinda read it in a day i would say this series is going to be a favorite. also i’m not a big vampire book type person but i absolutely loved the first book and this one was very good too:)

Tell me how I haven't read anything in the last 6 months but I read this in 2 hours?

I have spoilery things I want to talk about but I'm on my phone rn so RTC

Spoiler Rose kinds sucks (ahaha get it) as a person. She leads on Mason, ya know her best male friend. She does that for a while. She did it because she liked her teacher (that's a whole other problem don't even get me started).

Mason died but in the next book we see him so...its not goodbye yet.

Janine Hathaway is one of my favorite characters. I wish we could've gotten more background with her but alas, here we are

(I'm watching Criminal Minds rn and its distracting me)

This was just as enjoyable as the first one, but for the characters the stakes (I mean swords) were raised and lets just say that someone falls down, they don't always get back up. And also, Spokane is not the worst city in the world, even though Rose makes it sounds quite boring. Other than that, Rose is growing up and realizing just what she has to do, and what that means (in other words, I think this was a huge learning curve for her, and it had a huge impact on a few other characters as well).

So why aren't you reading this book if you haven't already?
