Medea, you'll always be my favorite petty ass bitch.
Jason: "bro you killed your own kids why?"
Medea: "to hurt you." LMAOOOOOOO

As usual, this Hackett translation is accessible, but includes a ton of detailed footnotes to provide cultural context as well as a fantastic introduction by Robin Mitchell-Boyask that gives you insight into Euripides and Attic Tragedy as a whole.

This looses points because we are supposed to be repulsed by Medea to an extent and this play does trade in the stereotype of the eastern savage who upends the civilised West and how women are insane and emotional BUT
Medea is a girlboss like no other and I love her dearly <33 so this is my favourite ancient Greek play thank you Euripides
