I had such a great time listening to this book! A great story that caught my attention.
A story about marriage of convenience written in such a lovely and beautiful way. I loved how Pierre was with Tasha and how gentle he was with her. He needed Tasha just as much as she needed him. These two were like two peas in a pod. A great love story that deserves to be heard, so if you want to enjoy a great book don’t hesitate. You’ll love it! 😊 ❤️

This one grew on me. I struggled with the male narrator at first but I got used to it by the end. The French accent felt a little overdone and not authentic. I liked Pierre’s character though and even though the feelings are fast, it didn’t feel like instalove to me. Tasha was also a loveable character and I really liked how she calmed him at times. I wish the marriage had happened a little earlier in the story to create more tension but it was there in the end. There were also some truly funny moments as they tried to convince his family that it’s a real marriage. I liked where the story ended and how the epilogue wrapped up things.

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley. The thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

Content Notes: Kisses, closed door intimacy implied

A fun beach/poolside listen. I think a perfect book as a "palate cleanser" if you're previous read was heavy but you'd still like to get a well crafted story. I "read" this book through audio and the narrators did great. Each did their own characters and supporting characters well. I found no fault with the accents. To this American they sounded spot one! I appreciated the no long pauses that often can pull me out of an audiobook. For the story itself I must say marriage of convenience isn't my favorite trope so I was slower to get into the story but that is certanily a your mileage will vary and not on the author.  I did enjoy myself while listening to this and getting into the story. Suspend a little disbelief and go enjoy this story! I found in the story great flow, characters, dialogue.
A few highlights:
*Pierre's family and best friend. So hilarious
* The final scene in the last chapter at the fountain
content info.: closed door but not squeaky clean, light marriage & bedroom humor/innuendo, no language
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are 100% my own

I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook via NetGalley but the audio edition was not available to choose for this review.

was excited to read this RomCom because sometimes I just want to envelop in a fun & flirty story that will immerse my imagination in anything other than reality lol. Plus, I love a fake dating trope with a HEA. This book was had a fun storyline that hit all the RomCom marks through and through. There attraction between the characters early on in the story and it develops slowly which leads to a fake marriage until they truly fall for each other. It was exciting to see their feelings develop and how difficult it became to hide it as the story progressed.

While I liked the storyline, I wasn't as fond of the narration in the audiobook. I tried really hard to listen to the audiobook solely for the story. The Male MC, Pierre, is supposed to have a French accent but I could not get past the fake accent.

This book really gives you nothing, and it's not a bad thing, they just had like no conflicts. The author loomed a danger with a threat of immigration catching on that the main couple got together just for his citizenship but never really took action on it, like, we didn't even see an agent on it and almost everyone went along with their marriage. I did enjoy the book it's a very light read it just felt pretty stagnant

I loved this so cute very bookish and set in the fall time. Tasha and Pierre was so cute Pierre with a French accent made me swoon.  I listened to an audio copy I loved the performance it was recorded in duet style.
