American Prince was not everything I wanted to be and more.
After reading American Queen I was expecting a smutty literary masterpiece. I feel like I was let down. I found myself skimming through sentences instead of just reading it because by the 75% mark I was already getting bored. The plot twists were intense but they kind of made me mad. They king of made me dislike the book, especially the one about Abilene and Embry.

I knew coming into this series that it would be quite political. After all, it is a book about the president. Being a Canadian this book doesn’t really relate to me. Obviously the president is the president but Canada doesnt have one. Overall the book is very political so if you dont enjoy that, this book wont be for you.

The spicy scenes are just that though…. Spicy. Like really spicy. That made up for the aspects of the plot that i did not enjoy.

Overall this book is about Embry, the vice-president of the United States and his two lovers.

This is the second book in the New Camelot series. It picks up right where American Queen left off.

So this book was good, not as good as the first book, but good.

Here is what I liked:

The plot. The story had soo many twists and turns and I was shooketh.

The smut. Sierra Simone can write some smut. Holy Hell. I had to contain some facials while reading some of the scenes.

Here is what I didn’t like:

The Before. Now, before you come at me, this is a personal preference. I don’t mind flashbacks, but when 3/4 of the book is the backstory I get bored. Especially when it talks about his relationship with Ash and Greer. I know how it ends up… I don’t need a full recap. I mean Greer was kidnapped… what’s going on there?

Ash. He was a complete ass through this book. I get it and understand it, but didn’t think it was completely relevant the entire story.

Embry. He was depressing and it was hard to read. I felt like it was a pity party of 1 and it drove me nuts. He was really submissive this entire book… I like my men tough and full of grit. I knew this going into this book, but it was worse in this book.

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes. Only because I think you need to finish the series. I’m hooked and want to know what’s going to happen.

Rating: 3.75
Spice: 3/5
Trope: MMF, poly-relationship, forbidden

Gah! The hits just keep on coming.

Honestly, i’ve hardly slept and I feel like my heart rate has been accelerated for multiple hours. I’m very sure that multiple people have already said all the things that I would say about this book. I almost didn’t read it, but good gracious, I’m glad I did.

I want to kick and scream and punch something. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh, but even with all this frustration, I couldn't seem to stop falling into the abyss of continuing to read till the end, and of course there was a cliff hanger at the end. Why [a: Sierra Simone|7369992|Sierra Simone|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1435189641p2/7369992.jpg] oh why do you do me this way???????
