Dark, bloody, violent, gory, enemies-to-lovers romance at its absolute finest. Any other book you've read in this category will fail to measure up after you've finished Blood of the Saints. I've never read S&M done like this and woah, was it hot. Please check those trigger warnings, but jump in knowing it was written thoughtfully and thoroughly. The storyline was captivating, with an FBI agent for an FMC who will take nothing laying down, and three MMCs who allow their demons to run wild.

If I hadn’t glanced at the page number I don’t think I would have believed that this book was as long as it was. I was completely engrossed in this book from beginning to end. I feel like there wasn’t a single lull and I was constantly entertained. Whether it was wanting to know the past of all the characters, wanting to know what would happen next, who is going to make the next move, I was just loving the direction this book was taking.

I love a good psycho and this book had three, each with their own level of crazy. I don’t think I could pick just one but usually the more unhinged the better. So this book catered beautifully to me. To make it even better, I love a good backstory with some character development and this book gave me backstory. Not a ton of character development but there was some relationship development and some character development so I’ll take it.

I knew there was going to be some twisted happily ever after, or at least as happily as this could get. A few bits of the ending I guessed but it didn’t take away from the overall feel or my feelings towards the book. It was dark, it was graphic and it probably isn’t for the faint of heart but I really enjoyed this standalone. I’m happy they didn’t expand on it because I really do think that it fit in this concise package. A great read, highly recommend.

This book was soooo intense! This is definitely a dark romance so if that is something you enjoy this is a must read. There are so many twists and turns and revelations that I honestly had no idea how this book was going to end. This book was super hot and spicy with each of the men in the book being there own sort of crazy. This book is not for the faint of heart but it is a great read if you have no triggers.

Good book! Very dark & who doesn’t love a TH trope. I love how vulnerable the characters are and how you love the boys from the very beginning. I think I fell in love with the boys more than I did the main girl character.

Although not a damsel in distress, Zimara’s character development lacked a bit and I think it’s because of how she fits into this book. I think we would have seen a lot more character development if she wasn’t an FBI agent under cover. I think if we could see her crazy, raw, and vulnerable from the beginning I would have enjoyed this book more! I am NOT a fan of the police character falling for the gangster character. Not a trope I would ever want to read again. Additionally, the pure torture they put her through in the beginning was giving McKamey Manor vibes. Although she enjoyed it, it wasn’t fun to read them literally torturing her with the intent to kill her (again relating to her being an under cover FBI agent). I cannot pinpoint when she started falling for them. Although I know she was sexually attracted to them, even after nearly 700 pages I cannot tell you when she began loving them. I wish her character allowed her to be more vulnerable.

We learned so much about the boys and with every page we loved them. We peeled back each layer of the boys and really loved them from within. I wish I could love Zimara the same. There was a scene where she nearly drowned and I wish we saw more scenes like that from Zimara. She was vulnerable, real, and pained.

This book feels like an underdeveloped Den of Vipers. It was a good read though & definitely held its own against some of my favorite adult romances but just a little tweaks would have made this book one of my must reads!

Blood of the Saints by Denver Rose is a standalone dark reverse harem romance.

The book comes with a Trigger Warning: "This book contains detailed sex scenes which may include dub-con or rough sex. This book also contains extreme violence, torture, and talk or flashbacks of abuse, domestic violence, and suicide. This book is dark and recommended for 18+"

All I can say is WOW! Denver knocked this book out of the park! I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Zamira, Ace, Theon, and Blais was off the charts! I loved that we got all four of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book if you like dark romances, reverse harem romances, captive romances, or romantic suspense. This is definitely one of my top reads for 2021.

Zamira thought she was going into her assignment to try find out whether the men she had researched were kidnapping and making rich people disappear. She was to go deep undercover with no contact with the rest of her FBI brethren and touch base in three months time with anything she finds. Her determination to get information out of her first mark led her to a nightclub owned by three smoking hot men. They exuded darkness and trouble and as much as she would love to take any of them to bed, she had a job to do. But it would see that they are hunting her mark just as she is and now they see her as getting far too close to their operation. Their only choice is to take her captive and try to torture the information out of her. Why is the FBI looking into their club? Why is the blonde temptress with a shaky past thrusting herself into the mix? Why can't they seem to resist her draw even as they are convinced she is a liar?

This book was very Den of Vipers-esk. The captive angle, the torment and harshness to begin with that eventually evolves into more, and even the joining of forces to chase down a mutual foe. However, in Den of Vipers the heroes didn't torture their lady as the men do in this book. Some of the things they did to her made me grimace and wonder how she could ever forgive them for the things they did. In Den of Vipers there was not anything that made the guys irredeemable in Roxy's eyes. The brutality is where the two books separate.

The men all had their roles. Blais was the giggly psychopath with a light in his eyes that was the perfect mask for his darkness. Theon was the strong, silent type who was also very much a caregiver. Ace was the ultimate Dom who just wanted to have ultimate submission and control. I am always a sucker for the crazypants ones it seems as I did have a fondness for Diesel as well in Den of Vipers. They all complimented different aspects of Zamira's personality which made their dynamic work so well.

I had a lot of theories when it came to who would be the ultimate antagonist in this book. I had a working plot and motive for each of the suspects and they all would have made the story that much more riveting. The book kept me guessing all along the way from trying to understand the guys' pasts to who was behind all of their problems.

I cannot think of a single thing that would have improved this story. I was sucked in and lost sleep while I devoured each and every page as if I'd go crazy if I didn't keep going. Denver Rose has found a place among my favorite authors and I look forward to reading and reviewing more of her work.
