I was hooked from page one, I just couldn’t put it down! This is a holiday romance everyone needs to read immediately.
Nick and Noel are so sweet and I’m just completely in love with them and their friendship.

This is a friends to lovers romance and I’m here for it.

I did not like this book. The plot at it's bas was fine but for the delivery failed. The way the characters treat each other was so immature and felt like it was written by someone in high school. I'm sorry but it's 2021 you can't call a friend "a sissy" for putting effort into how the dress and don't get me started on the offhanded slut shaming.
Overall not my favourite did I still finish it? yes. I will be reading more of codi hall in the future to see if the was a fluke.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me an arc for an honest review.

Nick has just completed his military service and comes home to find out his girlfriend has moved on. Nick and Noel, his best friend, finally get their chance to explore if they could be more than friends and the result is sizzling and of course, complicated. The characters all seem kinda young and a little immature for being in their early-mid twenties but maybe that’s just because I’m well past that stage in my life.

This book was ok, but all of the conflicts and resolutions seemed very forced and happened and resolved very quickly so there was kind of a lot of emotional whiplash going on. Also the characters magically work through their issues with the power of love and not therapy. So that's annoying.

Also it was very cheesy, and not in a cute way but in a "how far can my eyes roll back into my head "  way. They all live in the town of Mistletoe and all of the main characters names are Christmas themed and they are all born in December. Like that feels a little unnecessarily heavy handed.

Nick and Noel's Christmas Playlist by Codi Hall is a light, fun holiday romance and is the first in the author’s Mistletoe Romance series. I enjoyed this somewhat steamy, quick romance that is perfect for the holiday season.

Noel is a busy nurse in a labor and delivery ward at the local hospital. Nick, has just returned from a stint in the military. Noel and Nick grew up together as their mothers were best friends. When Noel was younger, her parents died in a car crash just before Christmas, and Nick’s family, the Winters, took her in and cared for her until she joined the military and got her nursing degree.

The book starts with Nick returning home, excited to spend time with his girlfriend, Amanda. Instead of the joyful reunion Nick expected, he was dumped on his first day back. As he begins to realize that Amanda wasn’t the perfect girlfriend he had always thought she was, his thoughts turn to his best friend Noel, and how she is the one that has always been there for him.

Nick and Noel’s Christmas Playlist is a light, fun romantic comedy that I enjoyed. I felt so much compassion for Noel and was rooting for her to figure out what she really wants in life. Nick is just wonderful, he’s such a good guy, and I loved his family as well. I did not care for Amber, the ex-girlfriend of Nick, and I thought the feud between Amber and Noel was a bit over the top and childish. Also, the book had a few too many childish antics from Nick’s friends for my taste. But, overall the book was enjoyable. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
