poetry collection from the queen herself!! her writing is always so good and so simple -- much less abstract than my usual poets, but no less beautiful in being sensical, with a certain reverence that’s straightforward and simply grounded in the natural world. always, always a celebration of the scenes in wilderness and the joy of living creatures.

one of my favorite poems (invitation) is by Mary Oliver so I've wanted to read a few of her collections for awhile but I was afraid it would be the type of poetry that was hard to understand. I finally read these and that couldn't be further from the case. There were a few I had to read more than once but for the most part they were easy to understand. A lot of nature vibes and at least in these two collections several references to her doc percy. I'm going to share a few favorites from each book.
