It was good but IMO not as good as the ones before it. I got tired of the kidnapping scenario fast while it lasted forever. It felt like CMO just needed a male to be the crazy one this time. Kara went from badass to helpless during it all. I still love A.J./Snake, but I probably won't even remember this series when that book gets released. There are lots of funny moments in these books too.

You know when a new director gets ahold of a movie series, and everything just kind of goes sideways, and you’re like, what happened to everything previous? Yeah, that’s how this book feels.

Bringing back Drex’s sister could have given us three amazing badasses, slightly crazy heroines. Instead we get someone who has “gone soft” and then just over the top wackiness from Maya and Sara.

Kara was supposed to be the problem-solver because, unlike Drex, she “thought like her father.” We got one scene where she moved some articles off the tracking board, and then everything else was handled by Rush. I would have loved to see the two of them work together on a plan and actually come together as adults.

This novel felt like a quick wrap-up with a bunch of stuff pushed together and a giant cliffhanger, all in one. It felt like everything had been building to a Sara/Jude book, but it looks like that’s not in the works, which is a bummer. Even the finally good vs. evil bad was just kinda, meh.

ETA: It looks like things were building to a Sara/Jude book before Owens announced she was taking a step back from writing.

“You never really moved on, but you damn sure tried to because you only have one life to live. You were doing your best to look forward instead of back”

“When you can’t move on, it’s because you can’t really let go.”

I would give this book 10 stars if I could!!!
Absolutely brilliant. CM has a way of writing, it keeps you intrigued, you don’t want to stop for even going to the bathroom 😬
Kara & Rush’s story is book #4, and the story of the Death Chasers MC continues with them. These books have a great story line, but it is not for a soft heart! There’s a lot of violence in here, but also humor about it. It’s dark and twisted, crazy, but oh so good!
I can’t wait for book #5, even tho it will be the last one in the series 😕 but there will be a spin off - yay for that!
Thank you CM for another great story!!!

I loved this book not as much as the others in the series as I couldn’t help but notice all the holes and story lines that didn’t meet up with the other books surrounding Kara.

Loved it!

It was exactly how I would’ve imagined Rush’s story to be. How the past melded with the present was great. I also loved the deeper insights into AJ/ Sarah. I can’t wait for her and Jude/Snakes book.

More than I expected

Well if you thought the previous books were pushing limits, you haven't met Rush!
It was a thin line of loving him and calling him crazy and it had me wondering what he was going to do next.
Finally meeting Kara wasn't what I thought itd be but for this bunch it made sense.

Cannot wait for Sarah and Jude, going to be a wild ride.
