Trop.Bien !

A quick, fun read

This was a light-hearted fun read with little angst. First time I've seen little video clips interspersed into the text, so that was fun too. Not much to dislike except the epilogue, which wasn't an epilogue at all but an intro to the next book in the series. Seriously, authors, quit doing that. We've paid for the book and want the full experience, including a satisfying epilogue.

Superb Read!

I thought Keep was my favorite RVD book - here she's done it again and made me fall in love with another book (and it's characters!). I want to take Ian, Blake (and Lex) out of the book and make them into real people in my life! I cannot wait to read The Matchmaker's Replacement!

Actually I've come to read The Matchmaker's Playbook because its movie is going to be released on passionflix soon. I guess otherwise I might have missed out on this funny and light read.

The Matchmaker's Playbook is an easy read that keeps your eyes glued to the pages until the very end. It reminds me a little of the movie "She's All That" but with its very own twist and turns. Between all the heavy romance I've read lately it was refreshing reading something lighthearted.

The connection between Ian and Blake builds slowly and it's pretty obvious that there is no way around that they fall for each other. Once into the story, I couldn't put down this book. I've read it in one sitting.

Can't wait to watch the movie with Nick Bateman as Ian <3

I tried reading six other books before I read The Matchmaker's Playbook. There are so many books sitting on my kindles that if it doesn't grab me I stop reading and move on to something. I don't review them because it isn't the authors fault that the plot and/or characters did hold my interest.
Ian is a great leading man. He plays it well. He is gorgeous. He is works as hard as he plays. He created a business out of helping women get there man. His only mistake is thinking he can control love.
Blake has grown up without a mom. She was and is a tomboy, clueless on how to be feminine. Comfort is her motto. She hopes to show a guy from back home that she is more than that. She hires Ian to help her catch the eye of David, the guy she thinks she wants.
I wish this book was around when I was a teen. I would have been less awkward, less clueless.

Best business plan ever

Wingmen Inc. is probably the most insane and smart idea ever. A huge money maker and it's almost like charity. I freaking love and hate it at the same time.

Ian runs (with his sidekick Lex) Wingmen Inc. They provide a vital service to women on campus. His job is to make them get the guy- the one they pine for, the one that doesn't look at them like a woman, the one they are invisible to. And to be honest, they are really good at their work.

But work becomes a problem when a client catches Ian's eye, when he lingers. Number one rule is not to fall for the clients. So why is Ian fighting it, why can't he get her out of his head?

I can't stress how much I love Rachel Van Dyken's work. I think she writes gold, but I loved reading the entire book in the male perspective. Ian is a meanwhile, he owns it. I loved watching him fall from his point of view. I can't wait to watch Lex crash and burn because we all know he's already half there.

Another kick butt story from Rachel and a series to stalk...Enjoy it.

The Matchmaker's Playbook is the first book in Rachel Van Dyken's new Wingmen Inc. Series and I couldn't wait to read this book! Not only am I a huge fan of Rachel's, but i loved the sound of this book from the blurb! It was such a fun read and I really enjoyed it from start to finish. I am already anxious for the next book in this series!

Suffering a career ending injury in the NFL, Ian Hunter returned to school and started a business with his best friend. Having been a player both on and off the field, he knew that his expertise could help women gain the knowledge and skills they needed to win over the men of their dreams. But when his best friend's new roommate requests their services, Ian knows that he has his work cut out for him. Blake Olson may be his toughest job yet, with her baggy and shapeless clothing as well as her horrible choice in footwear. But as Ian begins to transform Blake into the best version of herself, he begins to feel things he never has before. Now Ian has to figure out how to help Blake's match successful without breaking any of his rules as he finds himself increasingly drawn to her.

I really loved Ian and Blake. Ian was cocky and confident, but I couldn't get enough of him. He might come across as a bit of a jerk at times, but honestly he was charming and irresistible in this completely endearing way. He just had a way of drawing everyone around him in, and I just loved him. Blake was such a mess at first, but she was also likable and endearing. I loved her interactions with Blake right from the start, and I really enjoyed seeing their banter. These two had so much chemistry right from the start, and I loved the slow burn they had going. Their connection just continued to grow as the book progressed and I couldn't wait for things to ignite between these two with all the sparks flying here.

Overall, this was another really great book from Rachel Van Dyken. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish and I loved all the characters! I can't wait for the next book in this series, and I loved how Rachel set things up here. I just know the next one is going to be interesting seeing how things were here, and I think that this book is one that a lot of readers will love. It was sexy and emotional, and had just enough of Rachel's signature humor to keep me flipping the pages. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for something fun as well as steamy!

26% - I'm going to have to pause this and decide if I want to continue. The hero is a total douche.

47% - I'm throwing in the towel. I've stopped and started this a half dozen times and I still don't like the main character. It's also quite predictable. I have 5 more hours of listening left and I just can't do it.
