This is a great omegaverse & hockey combination. Just know that (content warning) grief plays a large role in the later story. I thought it was handled well, but I still wanted to mention it.

Mehhhhh, but I’m having a hard time putting my finger on why. This might have just been too heavily Omegaverse for me (not generally my thing), and the instalove was REALLY insta. A few too many immediate comparisons to Emily Rath’s Jacksonville Rays (and they came out at about the same time, so now I’m wondering if they were both inspired by another why choose + Finnish hockey player, lol!) And the self-sabotaging female lead also just seemed… whiny. Like in addition to the ACTUAL whining, which I guess is an Omegaverse thing. Also SPOILERS, but whatever doctor was like, “her mom just died and her alphas aren’t showing up, let’s put her on this medication that may VERY WELL induce depression” is just a fucking idiot. It was written well enough, but the narrative dragged, the timeline dragged, and I just wasn’t that invested. I’ll probably give the next one (set up in this one) a shot, but

Okay, so I had to read this, and Omegaverse and a hockey romance in one…sign me up. Adding my two favorite troupes together so it was only a matter of time for me to read this book. It has everything I hoped it would and more. Charlotte is not your typical omega she wants to do something with her life and isn't looking for a pack. Well, her scent matches stumbled upon her and well there was no turning. One alpha who knows what she is to him instantly and doesn't want to wait to have her as his. Another alpha who has no idea what it's like to be around an omega and how to treat her ( but somehow is picking it up quickly and ready to go all in). Last the alpha that doesn't want the scent match or an omega as it will ruin everything he's worked so hard for.
Going through the emotional rollercoaster with each of these characters was so entertaining I couldn't get enough. There wasn't a moment where I wasn't hooked on their story and only ever wondered how it would move forward.
Omegaverse plus hockey romances were perfect.
