It’s always the process with these books. The first half is terrible and a lot of unnecessary and boring back and forth we’re going to each others house and just talking phase. The SECOND half is great when all the action starts happening, things feels tense, and I have to admit the ending pages were nice to read. So the first half is 1.5 stars, the second half is 3.5

This book may have faltered just a little from the first two in the series. It was very good though, and left me wanting more as always. The storey started to veer away from the point: having fun after hours in the Disney parks. It was more about the story itself, and I don't know whether that made me happy that the story was getting more depth, or sad that the Disney information was falling flat. I wish the Disney information was more accurate and that there was more of it, but having adventures in the parks is always fun!

This book left me feeling pleasantly surprised. I noticed an improvement since the last two books in the series. I'm not saying this book was phenomenal or the best thing I've ever read, but it's getting better.

The biggest improvement that stuck out to me was the character growth. I can actually tell the five, I mean seven, DHI's apart. Their own skills, talents and areas of expertise are finally being more noticeable and I really like that. It makes the story so much more fun to read.

As for the plot, I'm glad that the author isn't making anything too easy for the kids. For a while, every chapter would end in a dramatic cliff hanger. Speaking of which, it was hard at times to remember what kid had what task or who was paired up with who. Especially if you set the book down for a couple days like I did.

I feel like I've been reading this same book for months, but it's really only been a little less than a month. I blame the length, a whopping 545 pages. But I got through it and I actually enjoyed it.

it is insane how much of my life has been shaped by this one book alone. Like, look, as a book, I have problems with it. As a Disney fan, I have problems with it. Several things don't make sense, and by now, it's apparent that there are a lot of things that Pearson either retconned or completely forget about. But do I love it? YES. This book was the reason I got into fandom culture to begin with, it's the reason I became an archivist, it's the reason I became a Cast Member! So much of my life is folded between the pages of this book in particular, that it can't be anything less than five stars.
