I can’t believe I put off reading this one for so long! I had it in my brain that this would be just another rockstar romance, but it was so cute! I’m so invested in their whole band now, and I HAVE to know what’s going on with Arlo and Jack. But I also loved that it was a rockstar romance that *didn’t* focus on addictions and bad behaviors. Because while those can be fun to read, this was a nice little detour from the “usual.” And the demon cameos!!!! Literally everything about this one was great, and I’ll be jumping immediately into the next one.

I loved this book from start to finish! Damn this book absolutely wrecked me and I loved every second of it. The story was absolutely amazing and definitely made me realize I might need to read more rockstar romance. The tension and romance flew off the page as Olie and Luca were amazing.
They meet by accident in an elevator and as it breaks down they are forced together. They are weary of each other especially Luca as he is used to people wanting something from him. He is the lead singer in a band called Caffeine Daydreams but Ollie couldn’t care less about that. They connect with each other but they go their separate ways after that. Months laters they meet again as Ollie has to go with them on tour as a journalist. Spending so much time together in close proximity forces them to deal with the feelings they are feeling.
The chemistry between the two was amazing and I loved it so much.

Man gets stuck in a lift with a rockstar on his way to a job interview. Ends up receiving multiple types of jobs 😏

This was my first non-PNR Lark Taylor read and while the rock star/famous person isn’t a trope I’d usually reach for, it was lovely read. I mean it’s Lark Taylor, so of course it was lovely. And of course it made me cry. Although I managed not to shed any tears until the 14% mark which I think is a personal record when it comes to her books.

These two men suck at communication and both come with their fair share of well-founded trust issues. And while I found myself actually yelling “OMG JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER” out loud at my kindle a couple times, both characters were empathetic and it totally made sense why they weren’t willing to lay everything out on the table.

As is my usual complaint when a book starts out with an MC being cheated on, my only real criticism is that the offending ex didn’t meet a very gruesome unfortunate end or at least get shat on by a pigeon.
