2.5 stars. This book needed to be at least twice as long.

I just finished this series and the ending felt so… unsatisfying. While I really enjoy the characters and their stories, the big finale itself felt way too easy and short, the characters never felt fully reconnected, it went on a huge tangent about PPD instead of bringing the story to a close. It almost felt like the author shied away from really delving into the scenes I most wanted to see. I also often felt like the author lost track of the story many times in order to make a point to be “realistic” with things like depression, trauma, insecurity, body positivity, etc., when the reason I want to read these books is to escape reality in the first place. It definitely needed so much more to feel like a completely rounded ending. I understand the author has spin-offs but the book series itself shouldn’t end feeling so incomplete.

TW: SA, and torture

What an ending!

The spice was hot and the plot got better with each book. Brit Andrews is becoming one of my favorite new authors. Man, does she know how to write a scene

This book is everything you want the end of the series book to be: heartbreak, love, secrets revealed and mostly the best HEA I could have hoped for. Saige is everything to her mates, and they are just as much to her. Sloane really finds himself in this book, and proves he is truly the mate he needs him to be when it matters. The guys go through so much to get back to her that their bond only gets stronger. I will miss this series, but it will be one that I re-read over and over. I truly love these PNR books and this one just takes it to a new level of dynamics. The RH steamy scenes are beautiful. This is a wonderfully done series that is not afraid to address subjects that need light shed on them: PTSD, rape recover, postpartum depression, body image...just overall mental health awareness.

This is an epic finale to the Emerald Lakes series. It had me laughing, crying and routing for Saige and her men. This still has the charm and quirks of the previous books but it all is a bit darker especially in the beginning. Situations the Saige and her men find themselves in is relatable and realistic, including PTSD, and post partem. This tied up the series well, while leaving hit of possibly more with other characters like the Elite.

How can this be? How? It can't be over. I'm not ready.

This reverse harem is hands down my most favorite harem ever. If you have been contemplating getting into RH, this series is the best way to start. It literally has everything. The plot is perfection, and never feels like it drags just to keep going. Britt has managed to carve out a nice little place in my heart for Emerald Lakes and all of it's inhabitants.

This book will grip you from the first line to the last. It's non-stop, action packed, and filled to the brim with LOVE. I couldn't have imagined a better conclusion. Britt Andrews, I am a fangirl for life. Any and all books you write, co-write, what have you....will be mine!

Well we finally made it to the last book in the Emerald Lakes series and let me tell you, the journey was worth it. I think the best compliment I can give this book as that I didn’t want to read it in one sitting. I wanted to savor it because I didn’t want to leave these characters behind. I absolutely love this series and this book is no different.

Sage and her boys get an ending that is packed full of action, hilariousness, tears & steam. Somehow we are missing the mac and cheese…. Seriously why isn’t there mac and cheese! This book brings at the feels & I am sad to see it go, but so exited to see what is in store for us next in this world.

An absolutely brilliant book.
