I had to skim this read because the characters were so hard headed and a bit obnoxious in their self righteousness. I mean Lili works in a women’s clinic and who has obviously seen her share of awful and yet Diego only sees her as naive, strong and confident, yet naive. He pushes her away when she seeks to help his sister, even though it’s what she does for living!

Plus, everything felt over explained. Plus, barely any actual sexy times. I bought their lust, not their love.

This just didn’t work for me, pretty much at all.

Every new sister I read about in this trilogy was my new favorite sister. I found myself in so many of them. Lily is by far the quirkiest one, and I love her so much.
Diego is a cop and a yummy one at that.

I don't know if I've missed something by not reading the first two of this series. I read an excerpt of this and was immediately intrigued by the premise. But then, no... They're just... Hardheaded, prejudiced and plain boring, if I'm to be completely honest.

I liked Lilí's work at the center, with the women in need, but I did not like her personality. I liked how Diego cared, but not him in general. I did not like the feel of the family, but like I said, maybe that's because I haven't read the sisters' books. And the romance wasn't all there.

It's hard to pin down exactly what I disliked about this book. It is the overall feeling when I read - how the language doesn't speak to me, the characters who I felt nothing for, the romance, which felt more than a little stilted. the struggle I had even getting past the second chapter. It doesn't flow, I guess, is the problem here. That said, it wasn't a terrible story and I liked the premise.

Thank you Netgalley, for the opportunity to read this ARC!

What's better than a Latin romance? "Their Perfect Melody". This is a re-read of an Netgalley ARC I received from two years ago and I'm honestly surprised by how much I still like this romance novel. The chemistry between Diego and Lili was undeniable and the storyline left me intrigued. TPM tells the story about how family always comes first and most importantly that it's okay to fall in love. Seeing how I couldn't put this now, it's a must read.

Out of all the Matched to Perfection series, I think this was the best! Lili's work as an advocate and as a volunteer in the community center is so important! It really showcases the youngest Fernandez sister as a powerhouse! Diego and Lili both are stubborn and incredibly giving, but ultimately needed to be able to clearly communicate emotions and thoughts in order for them to move forward for themselves, but also for the potential of their relationship. I love that!

3.5 stars. I liked this book but I felt like it waffled over the same things back and forth for about half the book and I wanted a better resolution. I wasn’t convinced they wouldn’t still be having the same issues in the future.

CW: parental loss, domestic violence (non main characters), addiction (loved one)
